Overview
Eclipse users will transmit outbound files to the LBMX server and retrieve inbound files from the LBMX server using a single SFTP (secure file transfer protocol) connection.
To facilitate this, LBMX will set up an account on its server, and then provide the member with the connection credentials and instructions for exchanging files between the member’s server and LBMX’s server. LBMX will place a file on its server for the member to retrieve. Please contact support@lbmx.com if you do not have your username and password.
SFTP Connection
Members will require a communication profile in Eclipse.
To check if you have the Communication Profile Maintenance menu.
- In Eterm go to F8 (Other)> F6 (Tools)> M (Communication Profile Maintenance).
- In Solar, it’s Main Menu>Tools>Communication Profile Maintenance.
If you do not have this option, you will need to open a case with Eclipse EDI Support to have that added for you at no cost.
You will also need to the “Communication Profile” option listed in the LBMX EDI Network Configuration screen. This will be the last option in the EDI Network Configuration screen. To check this, go to F2 (System)> S (System Programming)> E (EDI)> M (EDI Maintenance)> N (EDI Network Call Scheduling)> Alt N (Network Config).
If you do not have this option you will need to open a support case with Eclipse EDI Support and ask for patch DWL149.
Once you have the above option enabled, to set up the SFTP connection
- From the Communication Profile Maintenance add your settings like below (Note there is a "Test" option you can click to confirm the connection)
- From the EDI Network Configuration settings set the Communication Profile option using the one you just set up.
- Send to Directory: /Out Receive from Directory: /In
- You MUST set the Separate file flag to a “Y” so that the file name is unique and will not be overwritten if users kick off calls before LBMX has finished processing the file/record.
Caution: be careful not to change any other settings in this screen.
Note: Once you set this option you will not be able to update the user name and password on this screen, so you may want to make your update to the destination system name before setting the communication profile option or remove the Communication Profile settings then make your changes then set it back.
