Custom Map Error Handling
⚠️ Field DroppingWhen your product data is processed any attribute that does not fit the parameters of the Product Field will be dropped from your import. This will solve any minor anomaly errors. Major errors can be viewed on My Marketplace. |
1. Your implementation manager will provide you with a username and password for My Marketplace on Supply Cloud
- If you lose your username or password please contact your implementation manager or support@lbmx.com for help
2. Once logged in navigate from the PIM menu to View Exports
3. Download the most recent Validation Error Log
4. Scroll to the very last column of your data, there will be a new header named Validation Errors, fix all errors and then resubmit your file via SFTP
Custom Map Limitations
⚠️ Critical ErrorsThe following errors will lead to critical errors and your data will not be processed. Please ensure these protocols are being followed while updating product data via Custom Map. |
1. Header Order
- When your Custom Map was created each column header was mapped to a Supply Cloud Product Field
- All column headers must remain in the same order, and must all be present on each future import, even if the data under the header is irrelevant or unchanged.
- E.g. If "Height" was in the 4th column when your Custom Map was created and this field is not relevant to any of the updated product data, you must include it in the 4th column so that the map can match 100% of your headers to the Supply Cloud Product Fields
2. File Type
- Each Custom Map is created for the specific file type exported by your existing system
- All future updates to product data must be provided in the same file type
- Recommended file types are .csv .xls and .xlsx
3. Delimiters (.csv only)
- Each Custom Map is created using the delimiters specific to the first .csv file provided
- If you change delimiters, or use your chosen delimiter throughout your product data it will cause data shifting and will not import correctly
- Recommended to use .csv (comma delimited) and we will create a condition where all text is surrounded in "" so that commas in fields do not affect mapping
How to Make Changes to Your Custom Map
If your product data changes drastically over time you may need to request changes to your Custom Map. All change requests must be channeled through your implementation manager, or through support@lbmx.com
Below are a list of changes you may need to consider for your Custom Map:
- Adding New Headers
- E.g. You begin carrying compressors that require new Product Fields that were not mapped previously
- Removing Old Headers
- E.g. You discontinued a line of compressors and no longer require Product Fields that were mapped previously
- Changing Existing Headers
- E.g. You change the name of your header from "AirCompressorDetails" to "Air Compressor Details"
- Formatting Changes
- E.g. You previously recorded weights in "lbs" and have changed your formatting to "pounds"
- File Type Changes
- E.g. You initially provided your export file in .csv file and wish to change it to .xlsx
- Delimiter Changes
- E.g. You initially provided a .csv file as comma delimited and wish to change it to pipe delimited
