LONDON, Ontario--LBMX Inc., a leading provider of technology solutions for buying groups and purchasing cooperatives, announced today that it has opened a development office in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. From its new location at the Millworks - Centre for Entrepreneurship, the company will be creating a key product line for the e-commerce sector.
“Our college looks forward to future collaborations with LBMX as the plan for a Sault Ste. Marie operation unfolds, and we congratulate the company on this milestone.”
Over the past several months, LBMX has been working with staff from the City’s Economic Development division, Sault College and the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation. The three organizations have provided the firm with assistance and guidance in setting up an office in the community.
“The buying group industry has reached an inflection point that requires setting the course towards creating more connected member experiences,” said Greg Dinsdale, President and CEO of LBMX. “We are delighted to establish a presence in Sault Ste. Marie for this is a community of talented people that we believe will help LBMX capitalize on this turning point. This team will be integral in the development of our next generation e-commerce platform which our buying group customers and their members are eagerly anticipating from LBMX.”
For Dan Hollingsworth, the City’s Director of Economic Development, seeing a new company set up in Sault Ste. Marie reinforces the fact that the community has competitive advantages and is a great place to do business. “Our staff have been working with LBMX for a while now, and it’s great to see this expansion to our community come to fruition,” he said.
These comments were echoed by Colin Kirkwood, Vice President, Academic and Research at Sault College. “We were pleased to hear of LBMX’s plan to open an office in Sault Ste. Marie, and we were honoured to support them throughout this process,” he said. “Our college looks forward to future collaborations with LBMX as the plan for a Sault Ste. Marie operation unfolds, and we congratulate the company on this milestone.”
